The Edmonds Beacon recently published an article by CHPW Business Development Manager Brisa Guajardo, “Changes to Apple Health: 3 Things to Know,” highlighting new federal requirements, also referred to as H.R. 1, that will affect Apple Health for some Washingtonians.
From new work requirements to more frequent renewals for some enrollees, the changes associated with H.R. 1 can be confusing. That’s why sharing clear, trustworthy information across Washington is so important.
As a local, not-for-profit health plan that has served Washington communities for nearly 35 years, CHPW is committed to helping people understand these changes and make informed decisions for themselves and their loved ones. Local experts like Brisa, whose 20 years with CHPW reflect her deep experience and long-standing dedication to the communities we serve, are an important part of that work.
“As a Washingtonian, it means a lot to me to help people in our communities understand changes that may affect their healthcare. Whether it’s through conversations in the community or sharing reliable information through articles and other resources, I want people across the state to feel informed and supported as we all navigate what’s ahead,” Brisa said.
CHPW’s outreach team has already presented more than 100 educational sessions about H.R. 1 to community partners and organizations across the state. Through continued year-round outreach and partnerships with our Community Health Centers and other community organizations, we’ll continue sharing information and resources to help Washingtonians understand these changes and have the opportunity to live their healthiest lives.
