On August 9, our CHPW team was in Mattawa with APOYO (Allied People Offering Year-Round Outreach) for their food distribution event.
Our CHPW team unpacked and distributed food boxes, helped take food boxes out to cars, and even sorted peppers. And with those awesomely bright orange vests, there was no way to miss them!
CHPW is honored to partner with APOYO and sponsor events like this throughout the year. It’s not the first time we’ve partnered with APOYO, and it won’t be the last!
Both CHPW and APOYO recognize the important role that culturally relevant food and nutrition play in the health of a community.
For more than 25 years, APOYO has served residents of Kittitas County through their food and clothing bank along with other vital resources like education and the opportunity to build community. Our CHPW team is proud to work side by side with community partners like APOYO.
CHPW staff members live in the areas we serve and for us, pitching in with events like this is just one of the ways in which we demonstrate the power of community.
Thank you for inviting us, APOYO. We’ll see you again soon!
