134,000 Meals in Western Washington

CHPW Team Helps Food Lifeline Prepare 134,000 Meals in Western Washington

At CHPW, our staff members frequently get out of the office to volunteer with organizations that help lift communities up across Washington State.

On October 7, 2024, our Finance Team volunteered at Food Lifeline, which sources and distributes culturally relevant food to individuals in Western Washington. Marie Faulring, CHPW’s VP of Finance, shared that our team helped package 20,900 lbs. of apples!

Food Lifeline feeds thousands of children, seniors, and families in Western Washington struggling to keep food on the table. We are proud to have helped create 134,000 meals for people experiencing food insecurity on the day we volunteered.

Our staff live and work in communities throughout Washington, and we are the only health plan headquartered in Washington, providing care and resources grounded in the communities we serve.

We understand the power of community shines through when we partner with an organization like Food Lifeline whose mission is to feed people experiencing hunger today while working to end hunger for tomorrow.
