We were so honored to participate in the 2024 Refugee Community Building Conference last month as both a session presenter and lead sponsor.
The annual event, presented by the New Americans Alliance for Policy and Research (NAAPR), brings together refugees, philanthropists, government officials and staff, and representatives from organizations serving refugee communities to connect and share experiences about advocating for refugees.
CHPW’s Public Policy Analyst Hawa Elias and Immigrant & Refugee Program Manager Kush Doshi presented a session on “Advocacy Strategies for Refugee Well-Being” outlining how refugees and organizations who support them can advocate for inclusive policies as well as how CHPW approaches our advocacy.
